Our customers seek a more efficient and effective way of designing and coding their descriptions of digital hardware targeting FPGAs and ASICs. With the higher level of abstraction provided by the Spectrum language, customers can see faster time-to-market product development. We will soon be releasing an early version of the Spectrum compiler that generates VHDL which can then be processed with tools such as Altera's Quartus Prime and AMD's Vivado tools. In later releases, we will also provide the Spectrum software compiler, simulator and debugging tools, logic optimization and synthesis, static timing analysis, and an Integrated Design Environment that provides a complete path from Spectrum to the place and route tools provided by other EDA software firms that will complete the path to programming FPGAs or to silicon for ASICs.
